Consumer Speculator guesses 5 million iPhone 3Gs sold in quarter

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:31 am

It has been known for some time that since the iPhone 3G was released, about 1 million iPhone 3Gs was sold in its first weekend worldwide. Now a consumer speculator named Piper Jaffray believes that in this quarter alone, Apple will sell about 5 million iPhone 3Gs. This estimate is seems unwarranted due to the launch day glitches, widespread bugs, and the recall of Apple’s iPhone 3G chargers for the iPhone 3G. But it does seem as if people are forgetting these issues and just excited to get the iPhone 3G with all its iPhone 3G accessories. It also seems people are more worried about what they can buy for their iPhone such as iPhone 3G cases. Only time can tell if these numbers will materialize, but if they do, then Apple should congratulate themselves on a successful iPhone 3G campaign.
