Diwali, the festival of lights
Diwali is a major Indian festival though it is celebrated all over the world. During Diwali, people distribute sweets to each other and burst crackers. The colourful lights signify the victory of the good over the bad. Some attribute Diwali as the harvest festival. Some people consider it as the day Lord Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura. So they celebrate with fireworks. Diwali is usually celebrated in the moth of October or November. It is considered as a very joyous festival as people celebrate all over bursting crackers.
