Mohammad Azharuddin aged 45 is a Retired Cricketer of Team India. He is a Middle order Right Hand Batsman and part time Right arm medium Pace Bowler, has led his side as a captain for three consecutive ICC World Cup. He made his Test debut against England at Kolkatta on December 31, 1984 and scored 6215 runs with an average of 45.03 in 99 matches. He made 22 Tons with a highest score of 199. He holds the World Record for scoring Century in each of his first three Tests. He was well known for his flick shots on leg side and fielding in slips and cover position.

He made his ODI debut against England at Bangalore on January 20, 1985 and scored 9378 runs with a Strike Rate of 74.02 and average of 36.92. He holds the World Record for scoring most number of runs in ODI for a certain period of time which was later broken by the little master Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. He also claims to be the most successful Test captain that India has ever produced. He captained Team India in 103 ODI’s which claims to be the record for leading the side in most number of matches by an Indian. His major teams include India, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Derbyshire
