Tetanus

Filed under: Health — admin @ 11:45 pm

Tetanus is a fatal disease that affects the nervous system. The nervous system is affected by the bacterium Clostridium tetani, which produces nerve toxins. The tetanus bacteria grow in the infected wounds, particularly on lesions that are deep and with dead tissues. The bacteria can find its way into the body through punctured wounds, burns etc. New-born babies are infected through the umbilical chord.
